Montgomery County has a persistent level of homelessness and working poor, especially during the winter months. The Gaithersburg Community Soup Kitchen, Inc., (“The Lord’s Table” or TLT) has been feeding the neediest members of our community since 1984.

Our primary mission is to help feed the homeless and working poor, and to educate them about other social service resources available to them. Secondarily we work to educate the local citizenry about the situation regarding our vulnerable neighbors.

Volunteer Opportunities

Meal service opportunities: food prep, dining room setup and clean-up, serving, dishwashing and kitchen clean-up. 


Overview of Hot Meals program

Five days per week a FREE three course meal is served to anyone in need.




Children must be accompanied by an adult.
