Purpose
Montgomery County has a persistent level of homelessness and working poor, especially during the winter months. The Gaithersburg Community Soup Kitchen, Inc., (“The Lord’s Table” or TLT) has been feeding the neediest members of our community since 1984.
Mission
Our mission is to help feed vulnerable individuals & families including the homeless, working poor, and those on low incomes and to raise awareness within these groups of health, housing, social services, and other community resources available to them. We also work to raise awareness within the wider community of the challenges, difficulties and barriers faced by vulnerable individuals & families.
Volunteer Opportunities
Meal service opportunities: food prep, dining room setup and clean-up, serving, dishwashing and kitchen clean-up.
